Ronald E. Cartwright, of Laurel, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the age of 93. Ronald, Ronnie, was born in Stockton, England on March 4, 1930.
He was the beloved husband of Jane A. Cartwright, step-father of Robert Curley, Jay Curley (Alison), and Todd Curley. Grandfather of Cheyenne, Cole, Sarah, and Sam.
Ronnie spent most of his life riding, training, and breeding thoroughbred horses. His favorite thing was spending time at Laurel Racetrack with a community of people who shared his love of horses and racing.
He also loved visiting with his grandchildren, his dogs, taking walks,
growing his tomatoes, and watching birds. He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Laurel Race Track in the Tycoon Room on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:30 am.
