Alice M Simpson

Alice Mae Simpson, 79, of Columbia, MD, died at home on September 4, 2025 after a short battle with lung cancer.

She was born in Baltimore, MD, in 1945 to Albert and Geneveive Jahnigen. She graduated from Catonsville HS. She worked in medical billing and retired after working several years at HealthCare ABC, Inc.

Alice met her future husband, Bill Simpson, in Stone Harbor, NJ in 1972. They were married at St. Marks Catholic Church in Catonsville, MD in April 1973 and were happily married for 52 years.

Alice loved to play BINGO, slot machines, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Geneveive Jahnigen, her siblings Thomas Jahnigen, John Jahnigen, James Jahnigen, Barbara Ann Fink, and Bonnie Simpson.

She is survived by her husband Bill Simpson, children Angie Kelsey, Amy Simpson, Billy Simpson and Joey Simpson, grandchildren Sammy Kelsey, Gerry Kelsey, Abera Kelsey, Brandon Kelsey, Maddie Kelly, James Kelly, Grace Simpson, JD Simpson, and Benny Simpson, siblings Albert Jahnigen, William Jahnigen, Angela McCloskey, and Mary Lou Simmons.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Fulton, MD at 12 noon, Friday, September 19, 2025.
