Anna Mary Shaney, a lifelong resident of Baltimore, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Franklin Shaney and a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Anna was the loving mother of David Borlie and his wife, Patricia, and the late Ron Borlie and his late wife, Bernette. She was a cherished grandmother to Nicholas, Katie, Jamie, Sara, Wyatt, and Luke Borlie, and treasured the time she spent with her family.


Anna was the dear sister of Francis Donovan and his wife, Charlene, and Nancy Polan and her husband, John. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Vincent (Sonny) Donovan, Ida Johnson, Eileen Hesse, and David Donovan. She is survived by Sonny's wife, Helen, and David's wife, Jennifer.


Anna was also a beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews, who brought great joy to her life. She cherished the special relationships she shared with them and the many memories they made together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Frank and Anna Donovan.

Anna was a retiree of General Motors. She enjoyed family visits for card games and especially outings where she could play the casino slots. She also looked forward to her daily breakfast with her husband, Frank, at their neighborhood restaurant. These simple routines and special times with family brought her great happiness. Above all, she loved spending time with the people she held dear. Her family will remember her for her warmth, kindness, and the happiness she found in being surrounded by those she loved.

Anna's memory will live on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, and all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
