Anthony William Lewis Womble, known affectionately as Tony, passed away on June 1, 2026, in Baltimore City, Maryland. Born on July 1, 1991, in Winter Haven, Florida, Tony lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep love for those around him.

Tony was a man with a beautiful heart and soul. He cherished his family and friends, always making time to help others and lifting spirits wherever he went. Throughout his life, he cultivated numerous friendships, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He found joy in simple pleasures, particularly fishing, flying, and fixing things—passions that reflected both his adventurous spirit and practical skills. One of Tony’s greatest joys came from attending family reunions, where he connected deeply with relatives and celebrated their shared heritage.

Tony leaves behind a loving family who will dearly miss his presence: Teresa Womble, his devoted mother; Frances Leonard, his grandmother; William Knight, his grandfather; his brother Sam Womble and wife Brittany; uncle James, and aunts Mary DePelteau, Melissa Nelms and her husband Eric, and Chris Grosvent. He was also cherished by many cousins and great uncles who hold memories of his warmth and laughter close to their hearts.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dock Womble Jr.; his grandparents, Dock Womble Sr. and Gail Womble; his aunt Terri Weaber; and his great-grandparents George Weaber and his wife Josie, and Warren Knight and his wife Margaret.

Tony’s legacy is one of love and compassion, a testament to a man who devoted himself to lifting up those around him. His spirit will endure in the hearts of his family, friends, and all fortunate enough to have experienced his genuine kindness. As they grieve this profound loss, they also celebrate the remarkable life of a truly special individual, whose light will continue to shine brightly.
