Benedict Falice, born on February 20, 1957, entered a world that would soon be warmed by his generous spirit. Known by many names by those who loved him, "Ben", "Benny", and most notably, "Pop Pop". He passed away on January 5, 2026, surrounded by the love and affection of his family and friends. His journey through life was marked by deep compassion, unwavering kindness, and a profound dedication to those he loved. He is survived by his beloved spouse, Robin, who stood by his side through every season of life. Together, they built a partnership rooted in mutual respect, devotion, and love, creating a warm and welcoming home where family always came first.
Ben leaves behind his treasured children, Jessica and Christopher, who were a constant source of pride and joy. Jessica, known for her kindness and warmth, held a particularly close connection with her father. Her husband, JR Edmunds, was a cherished member of the family and dear friend, who shared many of Ben's passions. Their daughter, Mariah, was the absolute light of her Pop Pop's life, and brought him unlimited joy in his retirement. Christopher, with his devoted and thoughtful heart, shared a deep connection and humorous nature with his father, centered around a deeply loyal connection to family.
As a father figure from a young age to his stepson Jonathan Byrd, he helped foster a deep love of family. In addition, his stepdaughter-in-law, Juliet Byrd, and step granddaughter, Jade Byrd, while far in distance, were still close to his heart.
Ben shared a meaningful bond with his stepdaughter, Jennifer Grove, a playful relationship that centered around lighthearted banter and mischief. He garnered a quiet respect for his stepson-in-law, Daniel Grove, a relationship that was held in mutual esteem. He absolutely adored having an active role as Pop Pop in the lives of his step grandchildren Harrison and Caydence, who filled his life with laughter, adventure, and cherished memories.
He is survived by his siblings Stephanie Gottschalk, Linda Ramone, and Brian Falice, who will continue to honor his memory. These connections reflected his ability to embrace family in all its many forms.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Carmella Falice, his brother, Frank, and his brothers-in-law Frannie and Bill. Though they have gone before him, Benny’s spirit lives on through his fun-loving antics, the relationships that he nurtured, and the deep loyalty he held for those he loved.
As we remember Benedict Falice, we celebrate a man who cherished family and took great pride in living his life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy will forever endure in the hearts of those he touched.
