Cathy Marie Day

Cathy Day, born on December 29, 1958, passed away on September 26, 2025. She enjoyed a successful career as an engineer for Stanley Black & Decker. Cathy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, making her the first in her family to attend college, a milestone she took great pride in achieving.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Norman Kenneth Day III (Kenny); her sister, Jo Ann Broughton; her nephew, Joshua Adam Lane; close family members, Amy Martin, Robert Martin, Brittney Martin, Lexy Carico, Reanna Carico, and Madeline (Maddie) Martin, along with a loving extended family, including many nieces and nephews.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Howard Lane Sr.; her mother, Barbara Lane; and her brother, Howard Lane Jr. She will be remembered for her accomplishments, her dedication to her career, sense of humor and her love for her husband, family and friends.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
