Charles Leon Orwig, III

Charles “Charlie” Leon Orwig III, 43, of Frederick, Maryland, was called home to mow the pastures of Heaven on December 23, 2025. Born on April 29,1982, he was the son of Sharon Orwig and Charles "Lee" Orwig Jr.

In addition to his parents, Charlie is survived by his wife, Natalie Orwig; his son, Colton Orwig; his sister, Kim Yanike, and her husband, Luke Yanike; his father- and mother-in-law, Wayne and Nita Hayes; his brothers-in-law, Bobby Williamson and his wife, Melissa Williamson, Chip Williamson, Ryan Williamson and his wife, Kat Williamson, and Michael Hayes and his wife, Ashley Hayes; his grandparents, Kenneth “Joe” and Reba Burrier, and Charles and Grace Orwig; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Charlie lived a life of deep devotion to his friends and family. He was passionate about farming, his Brahma cattle and riding and trading horses and other livestock. He was an exceptional handyman. He and his wife started a small, family-owned and operated construction business. Charlie and Natalie were eager to have a child to pass down his legacy, and in 2024 they welcomed their son, Colton into the world. Colton was Charlie's absolute pride and joy.

Charlie was known for being able to hold a conversation with anyone, his sense of humor, his loyalty to others, but most importantly his selflessness.

A celebration of life service will be held at the New Midway Fire Hall, 12019 Woodsboro Pike, New Midway, Maryland, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow the service.
