Cheri Rosen Bradley

October 7, 1955 — January 19, 2025

Cheri Rosen Bradley, 69, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, passed away on January 19th, 2025, due to complications from Acute Myeloid Leukemia and pneumonia. Cheri was born October 7th, 1955, to Arthur and Natalie Rosen in Schenectady, New York. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Cheri was raised in Huntington, Long Island, where she graduated from Huntington High School in 1973. She studied many different languages at SUNY Albany where she graduated with a degree in linguistic studies. Her first job out of school was as a Russian linguist in Fort Meade, Maryland, where she progressed in various positions and responsibilities until her retirement from NSA after 25 years. She continued her government career at CIA where she worked in various positions until retiring after a total of 46 years of federal service.

She and her life partner Michael enjoyed traveling the world, cruising to many European destinations, including her favorite, the Greek Isles. Cheri loved shopping for bargain deals with her daughters and spending time in her condo in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, with family. She became an expert in all matters that struck her fancy. From discovering food from across the world, to perfecting her recipes and culinary prowess, even searching for the most unique, eloquent jewelry finds, Cheri did everything with her heart fully invested.

Cheri is survived by her daughters Alicia Bradley, Shaina Shariati, and son-in-law Ali Shariati. She cared about everyone and was a loving mother to many, not just her daughters. Cheri could talk to anyone and truly cared about everyone she met. She knew a persons name and life story after only their first conversation. Her charisma was so remarkably contagious that her spirit will always live on.
