Cheryl Collins

Cheryl Ann Collins, born August 29, 1953, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, after a courageous two and a half year battle with cancer.

Cheryl was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose love for her family knew no bounds. She loved her family fiercely, and nothing brought her greater joy than her grandchildren, Austin and Kaylee Tiech, who were truly the light of her life.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Elizabeth Collins and Laura Ann Kirkland, and her son-in-law, Derek Kirkland; her beloved grandchildren, Austin and Kaylee Tiech; her mother, Joan Sabo; and her sister, Eileen Sabo. She is also survived by her brothers, Charles Sabo and his wife Karen, Patrick Sabo and his wife Sally, and Francis Sabo and his wife Sheila, and her sister-in-law, Cindy Sabo; along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John W. (Commish) Sabo, and her brother, John “Jay” Sabo II.

Cheryl had a deep love for the holidays, especially Christmas, which she made magical through her thoughtful traditions and special touches. Her warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit will be remembered every season and carried on through those who loved her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
