Christopher Stephen McClanahan

Christopher Stephen McClanahan, a dedicated electrician with IBEW Local 26 for over 35 years, passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 59. 

Throughout his life, Christopher was profoundly devoted to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Christy McClanahan, and their cherished daughter, Riley McClanahan. Christopher was also the proud father of Amy (Will) Burroughs, and Timmy Brace. His legacy will live on through his grandchildren: Lizzy, Benny, Ally, Tyler, Kenny, and Michael, who filled his life with joy and laughter.

Christopher is survived by his brother, Tim (Cheri) and nephews Bryce & Trevor McClanahan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary McClanahan.

He will be warmly remembered not only for his grilling skills and love of Scooby Doo but also for his love, kindness and generosity.

As we remember Christopher Stephen McClanahan, we celebrate a life characterized by dedication, warmth, and an unwavering love for his family and friends. He will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held on December 13th at 2pm. St. James Episcopal Church. 1307 N. Main street, Mt. Airy, MD.
