David Enrique Perez-Peele was born March 28th, 1996 to Tracy T. Peele and David E. Perez Sr in Washington DC at Washington Hospital Center. He was baptized at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on September 29th, 2002. His confirmation took place at his home church on June 7th, 2009. During his confirmation, he read from Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
He attended Parkdale High School where he was able to meet life-long friends and learn about his love for theatre and fashion. After graduating high school in 2014, he proceeded to Prince George’s Community College where he began studying fashion merchandising. David was still able to grow his love of theatre by working on a host of community plays.
On February 27th, 2025, David and Ayanna Scott made an eternal promise of love to one another, joining in marriage. During their marriage, they adopted three kittens--Barry, India, and Nala--whom he loved dearly.
On Thursday, May 7th, 2026, David Enrique Perez-Peele was called home to join the angels. His grandparents, Robert & Doris Peele, and grandfather, Ofelio Perez met him at the gates of Heaven. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Ayanna Scott, parents Robert & Tracy Peele, grandparents Terrance & Brenda Gales and Juliana Perez, siblings Robin, Juliana, Anthony, and Cesar, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, god siblings, extended family, and life-long friends.
David was a loving husband, son, friend, and feline-father. During his 30 years on this earth, he left an impact on everyone he met. Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting David always had wonderful words to say about him. He was a bold man who never let anyone else forget their potential to be just as bold and bright. David valued family, friends, pop-culture, and a good tune to make the mood right. He will be dearly missed but the legacy he will leave is one of laughter, happiness, and love.
A service in his honor will be held on Saturday, June 6th, 2026 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mount Rainer, MD. A visitation with family will be held at 10AM with service starting promptly at 11am.
