The death has occurred of Edward Joseph (Joe) McLoughlin 

Halethorpe, Maryland, USA and formerly of Corraslira, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon, Ireland.

Joe passed away at his residence on Sunday, 22nd March 2026. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Katie McLoughlin, and his beloved sister Catherine McLoughlin. He is deeply regretted by his sister Maura McLoughlin-Lundon, brother in law, Denis Lundon, nieces Siobhan Hayes (Jason Engel) and Caitriona Hayes, Denise, Michelle, and Catherine Lundon, nephews Brendan Hayes and Dara Lundon, grand nieces and nephews, Fiona, Maja, and Adrian Engel, and Meabh and Ruadhan Bochynski-Hayes, as well as extended family and friends.

He is sadly missed and will be lovingly remembered by his family, relations, and his many great friends in Ireland and in the USA. Joe was widely known for his service with An Garda Síochána, his longstanding membership of the Knights of Columbus and his deep love of Irish music, history, and culture. He served as a real estate agent for many years in Columbia, MD and was a proud member of the Teamsters. He will be forever remembered for his quiet strength, enduring faith, his generosity of spirit, and his kindness to all who knew him.
