With solemn hearts we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Pasquarella (nee Napolitano) of Catonsville, Maryland. She passed away quietly in her home on February 2, 2025 at the age of 93.
She was loved and cherished by many including her sons Robert and Richard (Peggy), her grandchildren, Benjamin (Taylor) and Casey (Russell), and her great grandchildren, Hudson and Ada.
Elizabeth is survived by her sisters, Barbara Gabriel and Jean McGee, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Newell, her sister Josephine “Pat” Carlino, and her brothers, Samuel “Sonny” Napolitano and Bruce Newell.
Elizabeth was born in Greenwich Village in New York City. She eventually made her way to Maryland and settled in Catonsville where she nurtured and raised her sons. Her life revolved around her family; she particularly loved being a grandmother. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren at Christmas with 3-foot stockings overflowing with toys and goodies. Elizabeth was known by her family and friends for crocheting beautiful gifts, praying daily for everyone’s needs, reading endless novels, and collecting Barbies and baseball cards to pass down to her sons and grandchildren. Her loving spirit and bright smile will be missed by everyone who knew her.
A mass of Christian burial will take place in the Resurrection Chapel located in the Pastoral Center at 3175 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, Maryland on February 22, 2025 at 11:00 am.
