Elmer Ellwood

Elmer Ellwood, 55, passed suddenly and unexpectedly on July 22, 2025, at home in Glen Arm, Maryland. Born on August 12, 1969, in Baltimore, Maryland, Elmer spent his life rooted in the place he called home—cherishing the land and memories of the house he grew up in. Elmer leaves behind family, friends, and BOB.

Elmer was a simple man who embraced life with open arms and an open heart. He found joy in simple pleasures and lived with a spirit that was both free and grounded. One of his greatest passions was riding his motorcycle—he loved the wind on his face and the sense of freedom it brought him. Equally dear to him were the bonfires he would light at home. He could often be found lying on the grass, watching the flames dance into the night sky, content in the peace of those quiet moments.

Pride radiated from Elmer when he spoke about what he had built and accomplished throughout his life. He carried that pride not with arrogance but with gratitude for all he had experienced and overcome.

Those who knew Elmer will remember him as someone who could light up any room with his smile and laughter. His kindness knew no bounds; he would do anything for anyone without hesitation. His warmth and generosity left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

In keeping with Elmer’s wishes, there will be no viewing. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor his memory in a way that reflects the vibrant spirit he shared with so many.

May Elmer now ride free—without worry, pain, or stress—just being Elmer. His memory will live on in every smile he inspired and every heart he touched.
