Hagerstown, Maryland – Ethan Alexander Michael Paugh, age 21, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, after a brave, lifelong battle with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Ethan was a star student of Marshall Street School under the JDP program. Born on December 8, 2004, Ethan was the cherished son of Jennifer Murphy and Tony Thomas. Despite the profound health challenges he faced since birth, Ethan approached life with a remarkable spirit, bringing immense joy, love, and light to everyone who knew him. He taught those around him the true meaning of resilience, patience, and unconditional love. Ethan loved spending time with family and friends, singing, and dancing every chance he could get. He was a passionate fan of the Baltimore Ravens and made sure everyone knew they were the best team in the NFL. His favorite players, Lamar Jackson and Zay Flowers, will always have another angel in heaven watching over them and cheering them on. These moments of pure joy brought immense comfort and happiness throughout his journey. He is survived by his devoted parents, Jennifer Murphy and Tony Thomas; his siblings, Dakota, De’Aundre, and Calijah Paugh; his grandparents, Tammy Twyman Paugh and Philip Paugh; his uncle, Justin Williams; his aunt, India; and his cousins, Latrell, Olivia, Aubrey, Kaeden, Rahkim, and Alyziah. He is also survived by his nieces, Mila and Xiomara Paugh; his nephews, Amir, Adryx, and Daijon Paugh; and a dedicated community of extended family, friends, and caregivers who loved him deeply. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals and caregivers who provided compassionate care to Ethan throughout his life. A memorial service to honor Ethan’s life will be held at 6 o’clock on June 23 at New Life World Ministries , located at 62 E Antietam Street in Hagerstown, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the GoFundMe campaign organized by Amy Flinton titled "Honoring Ethan's Memory" (https://gofund.me/479b0ea9c) to help support the Murphy family with funeral expenses and honor Ethan's beautiful legacy.
