Helen Lenore Caslin Koehler

Helen Lenore Caslin Koehler, of Baltimore County, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, at the age of 83, under the gentle care of Gilchrist Hospice.

Lenore was a passionate educator, spending over thirty years cultivating potential in her young charges at Towson Presbyterian Preschool. She truly loved to introduce young students to all forms of art inspired by the greatest artists, and poured her heart into creating special works with them for their yearly art shows.

In her personal life, she filled her days with things that brought her pure joy: cheering passionately for the Baltimore Orioles, escaping to the beaches of Turks and Caicos for her favorite summer weeks, and losing herself in the stories of Sunday Broadway matinees at the Hippodrome. Her sharp mind and artistic spirit live on through her daughter Jennifer Koehler Reiter and her grandson Thomas Joseph (TJ) Reiter.

In lieu of flowers, and in honor of her lifelong love of creative expression in the arts and her determination to pass that love on to countless preschoolers, the family suggests donations to the Baltimore Museum of Art. All contributions made in her honor will be earmarked for educational programming.
