Hilda Yates

Hilda Faye Yates, 95, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025. Born in Chadbourn, North Carolina, Hilda moved to Baltimore in the 1950s with her beloved husband, Howard Yates, who preceded her in death in 1975.

Hilda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering strength, and the boundless love she shared with everyone around her. Her home was always a place of warmth and welcome for generations of family and friends.

She is survived by her four children: Brenda Yates, Cheryl Hatcher, Michelle Allen, and Howard Yates Jr.; as well as her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and other loving family members.

A memorial ceremony will be held on January 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 901 Academy Avenue, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
