Howard Leon Lane, Jr., born on August 11, 1953, in Richmond, Virginia, left this world on April 8, 2025, at his home in Towson. A dedicated plumber by trade, Howard was not only skilled in his work but also known for his kind and welcoming personality. He had an innate ability to make others feel at ease, a testament to his generous spirit and great sense of humor that brought joy to those around him.

Howard's life was rich with fond memories, as he cherished spending time with his family and engaging in activities that brought him happiness. He loved visiting zoos, traveling to new places, attending concerts, and scuba diving, all of which contributed to a vibrant life filled with adventure. The holidays held a special place in his heart, where the warmth of family gatherings brought an extra sparkle to his already bright spirit.

His passion for collecting comic books was a well-known aspect of his character. Howard could often be found scouring comic bookstores and Comic Con, eagerly searching for new additions to his extensive collection. This hobby not only reflected his interests but also highlighted his dedication and enthusiasm for the things he loved.

Howard is survived by his beloved sister, Cathy Day, and her husband, Norman (Kenny) Day III. He is also survived by his sister Jo Broughton and her partner John Zimmerman, as well as his nephew, Joshua Lane. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Lane, Sr., and his mother, Barbara Lane, who will forever be remembered and missed.

Though he has departed from this earth, the warmth of Howard's spirit and the joy he brought to those around him will continue to be cherished by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
