Irene Marie Morgan

Irene Marie Morgan (Strait) was born April 4,1928 and passed away April 15, 2026. She was 98 years old and the last of her generation of the Strait Family. She was born in Akron, Ohio and resided most of her life in Woodlawn, MD and later Ellicott City, MD. She was predeceased by her parents Oscar Strait and Cynthia Strait (Rutherford), 2 brothers Lewis and Gerald Strait and 2 sisters Leona Ratliff and Margaret Friend. She is also predeceased by her husband Edward Morgan, her daughter Donna Delaney and her son-in-law Paul Harabin. 

She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She worked her entire working career at Social Security Administration in what would now be called the IT field. She worked with punch cards and tapes on big Main Frame Computers. She was a hard worker and worked as many hours as she could, and at the same time raising 4 children on her own. 

She is survived by her three children William Loomis and his wife Lynn of Raleigh, NC, Marie Harabin of Shelton, CT and Rena Head and her husband Steve of Ellicott, City, MD. Known as Mom Mom, she left 10 Grandchildren,10 Great Grandchildren. In addition, she had many nieces and nephews. 

A Memorial Service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2724 Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 at 11 am on June 13, 2026.
