He dedicated a portion of his professional life to serving the city of Baltimore before transitioning into the construction industry, where he continued to leave his mark. Raised in a vibrant family of four sons and one daughter, Pete was deeply influenced by the love and support of his parents. He is fondly remembered for his deep affection for his mother, Jessie Holt, and father, James Gordon Holt Sr., both of whom predeceased him. Pete embraced the role of a loving uncle to his two nieces, Michele Hall and Rachel Carter, with whom he spent countless cherished moments, further exemplifying his caring nature.
Throughout his life, Pete gathered friends who became like family, sharing laughter, stories, and unforgettable experiences. His passion for baseball, sparked during his childhood, earned him his nickname after a famous player.
