John Thomas Donohue Sr. (85 years old) of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away at his home on May 12, 2025. After several months of declining health, he is now resting without pain and in the company of his loved ones and friends who have passed before him. Born on June 6, 1939, John was a man of many talents including carpenter, artist, hunter, wood carver, taxidermist, fisherman, crabber, home chef, entrepreneur (steamed crab sales, Christmas tree sales, crab seasoning creator) and even the occasional yodeler over the years. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rose Marie Donohue (Amersbach); children, Nancy Centanni (John Centanni), Carolyn Doll (Herb Doll), and John Donohue Jr. (Chris Donohue), and grandchildren, Brandon Lehman, Lauren Lehman, Ryan Centanni, Moon Centanni, Nicole Donohue, Jamie Donohue and Kerri Donohue, and great grandchild Natalie Simmers. A celebration honoring John’s life will be held at a to-be-determined date.
