Kay Doran Bryson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Elkridge, Maryland. Born and raised in the beautiful town of Sevierville, Tennessee, Kay carried a deep love for the Smoky Mountains throughout her life, especially the serene beauty of Cades Cove, which held a special place in her heart.
Kay was preceded in death by her cherished son, Clay Bryson, and her devoted husband of 50 years, Perry Bryson. Their memory remained a guiding light in her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Clint Bryson and daughter-in-law Tracy Bryson; her grandchildren Caleb McMillin, Loryn McMillin, Brittany Ruggles, and Abigail Bryson; and her great-grandson Quinn, who brought her immense joy and pride.
A true lover of nature, Kay found great joy behind the lens of a camera. Her passion for photography allowed her to capture the world in a way that reflected her deep appreciation for beauty and detail—especially the landscapes and wildlife of her beloved Smokies.
Over the years, Kay made her home in various places, including Rockledge, Florida, and Seymour, Tennessee, before settling in Elkridge, Maryland. No matter where she lived, she brought warmth, creativity, and a generous spirit to those around her.
Kay’s legacy lives on in the memories she created, the beauty she captured, and the family she loved so dearly. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
