Linda Lee "Mimi" Cain (née Branic), age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland. Born on June 5, 1942, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, she lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a deep appreciation for nature and family.
Linda was the beloved wife of Barbara Jones, and a devoted mother to her daughters Tammy Johnson of Sykesville, Maryland, and Kelly Cain of Clarksville, Delaware. Her legacy continues through her cherished granddaughters: Megan Johnson; Victoria Fallin and her husband Preston; Amber Yingling and her husband Tyler; and Abagail Stephens and her husband Joseph Sr. Linda also found immense joy in being a great-grandmother to Axel, McKinleigh, Parker, Joseph Jr., and River.
She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Paulette Greenwalt and Diane Jones. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Branic and Mary Jane Branic (née St. Clair), as well as her brother, John Branic.
Linda’s adventurous spirit shone brightly throughout her life. She found peace and happiness in the great outdoors — whether hiking wooded trails, casting a line while fishing, paddling across calm waters in a kayak, or enjoying the serenity of the beach. Her garden was another source of pride and tranquility. Above all else, she treasured the time spent with her family.
A woman of faith and community spirit, Linda was an active member of the Catholic Community of Relay. One of her favorite roles at the church was ringing the bell — a joyful expression of both tradition and celebration that brought her great satisfaction.
Those who knew Linda will remember her as dependable and loving — a steady presence whose adventurous heart inspired those around her. Her warmth touched many lives across generations.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Catholic Community of Relay Church, 5025 Cedar Avenue, Relay, MD 21227.
