Linda Lee Filkins

Linda Lee Filkins, 82, a devoted mother and beloved career Anne Arundel County Library employee, passed away suddenly on December 22, 2024. Born on April 21, 1942 in Glen Burnie, MD, Linda Hart distinguished herself early as a gifted writer at Brooklyn Park High School, where she began her lifelong love of books and art.

At work, Linda enjoyed sharing her passion about books with library patrons at the Brooklyn Park and Linthicum libraries over her 30-year career, a passion she shared with her deceased husband, Richard Filkins, a wonderful child librarian at the Anne Arundel County Crofton Library for over 20 years. At home, Linda, enjoyed spending time covering the walls with her favorite art work, gardening and watching her dogs and cats play.

Linda is survived by her four children, Eric Nestor, and his two children, Claire and Caroline; Rebecca Nestor; Marcus Nestor; and Charlie Nestor, and his two children, Olivia and Kylee.
