Linda G. Wood Miller

Linda G. Wood Miller, 78, of Monrovia, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2026, with her beloved husband by her side. She was born on March 3, 1948, in Maryland, to the late David and Dorothy Wood.

Linda was the devoted wife of Tom Miller, Sr. She earned her master’s degree in English from Middle Tennessee State University and dedicated her career to teaching, tutoring, and writing.

Linda had a deep passion for art, particularly oil painting and pastels. When she wasn’t creating art, she could often be found relaxing in her favorite chair with a good book. She was an active member of garden clubs and enjoyed tending to her gardens at home during her retirement.

Linda also had a special place in her heart for helping children succeed in school. She generously gave her time to tutoring and helping children with their schoolwork. Above all, Linda cherished her grandchildren, whom she delighted in spoiling with books, treats, and love.

Linda is survived by her children, David (Christina) Stemper, Adam (Rosetta) Selby, and Amanda Selby; her stepchildren, Tommy (Tara) Miller, Jr., and Krystle (Steven) Rumbaugh; her grandchildren, Caitlyn Stemper, Josh Stemper, Ember Selby, Korla Selby, and Rebel Selby; and her step-grandchildren, Brennen, Paisley, and Bristol. She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Roundtree, Patty Barse, and Betsy Curtiss.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Todd Stemper, and her sister, Martha Butler.

In accordance with Linda’s wishes, interment will be private.

Linda will be remembered for her love of learning, her artistic spirit, her beautiful gardens, and the love and generosity she shared with her family. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
