Margaret “Peggy” Ann Gahan December 30, 1962-August 8th, 2023
Margaret “Peggy” Gahan passed away the morning of August 8th, 2023, surrounded by a loving family in Baltimore MD. She was preceded in death by her mother Maureen Siewert, with whom she had a very deep relationship, and her loyal companion Chewy. She is survived by her loving husband Dennis Gahan, her three children; Dennis Michael Gahan jr, Katie Leah Gahan, and Danny Laurence Gahan, and two Grandchildren; Lillian Margaret Gahan, and Penelope Grace Gahan.
Peggy was born to Raymond Francis Siewert and Maureen (Smith) Siewert in Columbus Ohio on December 30th, 1962. Peggy was the Sibling of Mary Ward, Raymond Siewert, Joan Stromberg, Bill Siewert, Maureen Meyers, and Patrick Siewert. She Studied Nursing and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree at George Mason University in 1985 and moved to Baltimore shortly after.
Peggy met and married Dennis Gahan on April 20th, 1991.
Peggy spent her working days as a caring nurse, precise Phlebotomist, and exemplary teacher’s assistant. Peggy was an avid camper and enjoyed the outdoors in its entirety. Enrolling all three children into scouting and involving herself in a leadership capacity in both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She continued this passion throughout her entire life as she and Dennis went camping across the east coast until the very end. Peggy was also a huge football fan and would watch her Redskins play every opportunity. If they were not televised, the DC radio stations would surely have coverage of the game. When asked how they were doing her response was always the same: “It was a rebuilding year”. She had a lasting love of music from her early days of studying liturgical organ and celebrated it on most holidays, especially St. Patrick’s Day and Christmas.
As a devout Irish Catholic, she now finds peace and rest with the lord she knew so well.
