Marie Ann Wedekind

Marie Ann Wedekind (Ann) (nee Daly) born September 29, 1940 in Baltimore, MD passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025 at the age of 85. She was the beloved daughter to the late Eugene J. Daly, Sr and Margaret Emma Daly (nee Fackler). She was also the beloved sister of her late, older brother Eugene J. Daly, Jr (Skip) her late twin sister, Helen Pamela Lewns Sullivan (Pam). Her husband of 43 years, Charles J. Wedekind, III passed in 2021.

She was the devoted mother to Diane Roche (nee Dixon) and her husband Russell & David Dixon and his wife Michele. She was an amazing Nana to her grandchildren, Erin (Roche) Pless and her husband, Matt, Evan Roche and his wife, Bridget, Ean Roche and his partner, Kyle Smith, Marissa (Dixon) Kieffer and her husband Joseph and their children Hudson and Emerson, Mark Dixon and Mackenzie Dixon. She is also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ann was a proud graduate of Seton High School in Baltimore, MD where she excelled in her business course of study. She worked many years as, and took great pride in being, an Executive Secretary in the shipping and financial industries.

Ann was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing and watching tennis, the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens. She will be lovingly remembered for hosting the family’s annual Christmas gathering in her home in Loch Raven Village. Her dedication to her family will be her legacy.

A memorial will be announced and held at a later date at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
