Robert “Bob” Wagner, affectionately named “Batman” by his favorite sister-in-law, left this world on October 14th, 2025 at the age of 85. Although his pride in America and his hometown of Baltimore City were unshakeable, he dreamed of a more peaceful life on a farm surrounded by horses. He loved to be in the sun, swimming and enjoying the outdoors, playing billiards, at the shooting range, singing and dancing, or simply playing card games with his family.
His work ethic, humor, silliness, bluntness, humbleness, stubbornness, selflessness, love, and support defined him as father, husband, and man. He worked tirelessly throughout his life, never asking for much, always giving what he could. Though he wished he could have given his family more, he gave them the greatest gifts: the strength to stand on their own, resilience, and the knowledge that they were loved.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Arlene-his "turtledove"; his daughters, Patty and Marie (April); three grandchildren—Shyanne, Randy Jr., and Shayne; great-granddaughter, Azarath (the apple of his eye); his sister, Vivian; and numerous nieces and nephews. His voice, his laughter, and his unmistakable presence will be carried in their hearts forever.
“Through many dangers, toils, and snares,I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.”
May the Lord welcome him with the peace he longed for,
and may his family feel the warmth of a father’s love—
strong, imperfect, stubborn, and beautiful—
now carried forward in every memory he leaves behind.
