It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Ronald L. Lydard Jr., who passed away on June 13, 2026.

Ronnie was born in Frederick, Maryland, on June 11, 1972, to the late Ronald L. Lydard Sr. and Vicky Lydard.

Ronnie was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and sense of humor. He previously worked at Mount Olivet Cemetery, where he took great pride in serving families with compassion and respect. Despite facing many health challenges throughout his life, Ronnie remained strong and appreciated the love and support of those around him.

In his free time, Ronnie found joy in the outdoors and in music. He loved playing and collecting guitars and other musical instruments, riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, and landscaping. These hobbies reflected his adventurous spirit, creativity, and appreciation for the simple pleasures in life.

He is survived by his loving children, in order: Chelsea Lydard of Keedysville, Maryland; Corey Lydard and Emily of Keedysville, Maryland; and Gracie Hawkins and Nick of South Carolina.

He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Colton, Briar, Casey Mae, Claire Lydard, and Rowan Hawkins, who brought him immense joy.

Ronnie is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Tayna Flabbi, who stood faithfully by his side through many health challenges; his sister, Kelly Lydard Smith of Jefferson, Maryland; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered love, prayers, encouragement, and friendship throughout Ronnie's life. Your kindness and support meant more than words can express.

Ronnie will be remembered for his loving heart, quiet strength, dedication to his family, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. Though he is gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend as they gather to honor Ronnie's life, share memories, and celebrate the love he brought to those around him.
