Sharon Wicklund

Sharon was born in the springtime of 1963 to Robert and Everlena in the countryside of Mississippi. She was the eldest of 5 siblings: Robert, Rachel, Michelle, and Desiree. At the age of 6, her mother Everlena sent for her children to be brought to New York for a better life. She was raised in New York and received public school education and during her high school career she was selected for a cooperative education program that presented her with the opportunity to work on Wall Street at the fortune 500 Merrill Lynch. She developed a passion for modeling, fashion, and arts. Her artwork was published in national art programs during her career as a student. She was signed to an agency and had several publications. At the age of 29, her son Jamal made her a mother. Jamal was born with complex medical conditions that impacted his life expectancy. He was not expected to survive the night after his birth, but her devoted love for him prolonged his life to the age of 34. She cared for Jamal full-time up until his passing weeks before her own. At the age of 33, she gave birth to her daughter Jamilia. She upheld a career as a medical assistant. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer and endeavored on a journey through chemotherapy. for over a year before relocating to Maryland to be surrounded by loving family. She leaves behind her daughter, Jamilia of Baltimore, Maryland and her children Landon, Laeia, and Luna and her family, her siblings Robert of Georgia, Rachel of Virginia, Desiree of Illinois, and Michelle of Illinois.
