Steven Routzahn

Steven L. Routzahn, of Essex, Maryland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on June 26, 2025, at the age of 69.

Born and raised in Essex, Steve spent his life rooted in the community he loved. He dedicated over 30 years of his career as a plant maintenance supervisor at Lord Baltimore Uniform, where his hard work, dependability, and quiet strength left a lasting impression.

Outside of work, Steve found his greatest joy on the water and the open road. He was an avid boater who loved exploring the Chesapeake Bay, and he also had a lifelong passion for motorcycles. Whether riding solo or with friends, he found freedom and peace behind the handlebars.

Steve is survived by his children: William (Bill) Routzahn and wife Kristen, Renee Routzahn, Jennifer Christopher and husband Jason, and Jesse Paulson and wife Ellen. He was a proud grandfather to Riley, Emily, Bailey, Sarah, Lily, and William. He is also survived by his siblings: Terry Greenberg, James (Jim) Routzahn, and David Routzahn, as well as his beloved nieces and nephews: Heather, Kelly, Jamie, Caitlyn, Corey, and Mia.

Steve will be remembered for his quiet wisdom, his steady presence, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
