Suzanne W Kaufman

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Suzanne “Sandy” Whistler Kaufman of Timonium, Maryland, on August 28, 2026, at the age of 84. She left this world surrounded by the same quiet strength and determination that defined her life.

Sandy was a woman of strong will and an adventurous spirit, living life on her own terms and embracing the beauty of the world around her. Her love for animals and nature was unmatched, bringing her great joy, comfort, and peace throughout her life. While her love for animals and nature came naturally, Sandy also loved her friends with fierce loyalty and unwavering devotion. Those fortunate enough to know her knew that her love was genuine, steadfast, and deeply felt.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, W. Jackson and Kathryn Kaufman, and her cherished son, Christopher Bowen, the love of her life, whom she adored deeply and carried in her heart always.

She is survived by her brother, Bowen Kaufman; her cat and faithful companion, Kiki; and the many friends whose lives she touched and whose memories of her will endure.

Sandy will be remembered for her strength, independence, adventurous spirit, and the fierce love she gave to those fortunate enough to earn a place in her heart. Her presence will forever be found in the beauty of the natural world she cherished, in the animals she loved so dearly, and in the hearts and lives of those she touched.
