Suzanne Lynn Vahlsing passed away after a brief and courageous battle with cancer on July 26, 2026.
Suzanne was a beloved mother, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend. She is survived by her two children, Patrick Wojcik and Tessa Miner, and her mother, Patricia Anne Vahlsing. She was predeceased by her father, James Vahlsing. She will be remembered fondly by her siblings, Maureen Anne McManus (Christopher Lee McManus), Kathryn Elizabeth Conant (John Conant), and James Michael Vahlsing, her nieces and nephews, Zachary, Travis, Timothy, Michael, Matthew, Vivian, Joshua, Abigail, and Molly, and her two great-nieces, Arya and Margaret.
Our hearts are heavy, yet filled with the cherished memories of Suzanne and the joy she brought into our lives.
Born in Catonsville on August 11, 1975, Suzanne spent much of her childhood in Japan, Germany, and Hawaii before returning to Maryland. She enjoyed traveling and made friends all over the world, including any animals that she met. She was an incredible swimmer and athlete, but was most well known for her humor, chatter, and brightness she brought wherever she went.
Though her adult years presented challenges, Suzanne's heart was always in the right place. We will always remember her with love and fondness.
We would like to express our deepest appreciation for all the staff at Medstar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, MD who cared for Suzanne. The nurses, doctor's aides, and every member of the staff not only provided excellent care, but a deep compassion for Suzanne and our family that made difficult days a little bit easier.
In her memory, please hug your loved ones, for tomorrow is never guaranteed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Helping Up Mission or any cancer charity of your choice.
