Terence James McCormick

The family of Terence James - “Terry” - McCormick is deeply saddened to share the passing of their beloved husband, father and grandfather on August 25, 2025. Following a lengthy illness and recent surgery, Terry died peacefully at St. Elizabeth’s Rehabilitation Center, in Catonsville, Maryland.

Terry was born on January 10, 1943, in Hagerstown, Maryland, one of twin sons of Francis Joseph McCormick and Maryetta Virginia McCormick (Judd). He attended St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown and studied electrical engineering at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, later completing a Master’s Degree in Operations Research from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Terry spent his professional career primarily in the Federal Government and worked at the Department of Transportation and the Department of Commerce. 

Terry is survived by his devoted wife of over twelve years, Catherine Joan Frances Mundy, originally from Canterbury, UK. In 2018, they moved to the Charlestown Senior Living Community in Catonsville, Maryland and became active members of the Catholic Community of St. Vincent de Paul in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to his wife, Catherine, Terry is survived by his three children from his former marriage to Sharon (Hurley) Hawk: Kathryn Reinboldt of Amissville, Virginia, Paul McCormick (Kathleen) of Arlington, Virginia and Maura McCormick of Portland, Oregon; and his elder brother, Michael J. McCormick (Mary Ann) of Palm Harbor, Florida. He was a proud grandfather to his eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his twin brother, Thomas Judd McCormick of Moorestown, New Jersey and his son-in-law, Joseph E. Reinboldt of Amissville, Virginia.

 A Funeral Mass and Celebration of the Resurrection will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10.a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 120 N. Front Street Baltimore, Maryland, followed by a reception in the parish gathering space. All are welcome. Private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in Terry’s memory to St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for their ministries to the poor and homeless.
