Thomas (Tom) Michael James

Thomas (Tom) Michael James, 66, of Fulton passed away peacefully at his home November 9, 2025 with his family present. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife of 44 years, Katherine (Kathy) James. Devoted father of Katherine (Katie) James (deceased) and Steven James. Son of the late Charles and Lillian James. Brother to Mary Ellen Marine and husband Ray (deceased), Charles James and wife Jan. Son-in-law to Edward (deceased)and Gloria Schroeder. Brother-in-law to Michael Schroeder and wife Delilah, Diana Miles and husband Lawrence (deceased). Loving Uncle of Andrew James, Jennifer James, Maxwell Schroeder, Erica Schroeder, Nicole Schroeder, Joseph Schroeder and Rebecca Miles.

First and foremost Tom was a family man. He loved his family dearly. Tom was known for his quick wit and outstanding sense of humor. He worked in the telecommunications industry where he was a leader of the company. He cared deeply for the people he worked with and took a sincere interest in them. He loved Christmas, golf, muscle cars, motorcycles, good music, crabs, milk shakes, potato chips and nonpareils. Tom loved spending time on any beach especially especially Ocean City. He never met a household project that scared him. From the smallest of fixes to complete remodels Tom’s projects always turned out perfect.

Tom was born in Baltimore. His family moved to Perry Hall when he was 13. He and Kathy spent most of their lives in Ellicott City until they recently moved to Fulton.

 A Celebration of Life will be held November 22, 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Matthews 1600, 1600 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD 21228. Remembrances will begin at noon.
