It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne J. Kuhn on August 15, 2026 at the age of 68, after a long illness.

Wayne was born in Baltimore, MD and resided in Columbia, MD at the time of his death. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Mary (Frazier) and his brothers Edward Kuhn, Jr. and his wife Karla, Steve Kuhn and his wife Donna, Tom Kuhn and his wife Krissy, and Tim Kuhn and his wife Kate, as well as nineteen nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Kuhn, Sr. and Mildred (Kolarik).

Wayne spent his career in the HVAC industry until illness forced him to retire in 2021. Wayne approached new interests with zeal. In the early days, he was an avid photographer. He built a darkroom to develop and customize his photos. Later, he became interested in woodworking, especially wood turning. He enjoyed being a member and officer of the Baltimore Area Turners. He built his "dream shop" in his basement and spent hours there on woodworking projects ranging from pens and bowls to tables and chairs. His favorite musician was Jackson Browne and he loved seeing him in concert with his wife. He and his wife enjoyed many different trips together. Above all, Wayne loved his family, and he loved to entertain. Every Father’s Day meant a crab feast on the oversized picnic table that he built. He especially loved having his brothers over for “Bro Nights."

You are invited to celebrate Wayne's life on September 13, 2026 at 12 noon at Regency Crest, 3305 Oak West Dr., Ellicott City, MD 21043. If desired, donations may be made to the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, 750 E. Pratt Street, Suite 1743A. Baltimore, MD 21202.
