Yanbang Xu

Yanbang Xu, born on March 8, 1933, in Shanghai, China, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, in Columbia, Maryland. He was 92 years old.

Throughout his life, Yanbang demonstrated a deep commitment to both his family and community. His journey began in Shanghai, where he cultivated a strong appreciation for education and the arts. As a cherished husband, father, and friend, Yanbang's influence extended far beyond his immediate family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jujiao Yu, along with their children, Shaobei Xu and Shaojing Xu. Yanbang’s familial bonds were a source of great pride and joy for him, as he often emphasized the importance of togetherness and support throughout his life.
